Medical translations: There are two groups

There are basically two different main groups of publications where medical translations are concerned. On the one hand, we have medical informational material and, on the other, we have texts of purely medico-technical nature.

For both groups the key point is to convey the content of the source text as close as possible. Where medical translations are involved, there is no room for a translator’s interpretation of what is written.
